"Do we really need to know this stuff Mrs. Ashley?"
Today in class, I led a classroom guidance lesson on careers to a group of 1st grade students. They had such a great time coming up with all types of careers, and believe me there were some silly ones! We talked about everything from astronaut to zoo keeper. Once all of the students chose a career (its so hard to pick just one!) we talked about what types of things you would need to know if you found yourself in that profession one day. We even talked about how recess just might come in handy one day! I hope that after talking about how important school is, the kids will buckle down and finish the year strong!
